Eligibility: Bournemouth Employer

Up to £1000 to put towards training to develop leadership skills.
Funded by Train to Gain’s Leadership & Management programme.
Available to companies in Bournemouth with 5-250 staff:
Up to £500 grant for owner managers, company directors.
Up to £500 (match-funded) grant for any senior manager or the senior management team.
Use the money in the best way for you

- Workshops
- Online training
- Bespoke/tailored training options
- Peer learning
- Business mentoring/coaching

- All sectors - private/ franchise/public/ voluntary/GP’s/Dentists – except: Govt Depts, LA Schools & NHS supported organisations
- Employs 5 - 249 employees (FTEs)
- Head Office within the South West Region
- Has a total balance sheet value less than €43m and an annual turnover less than €50m and, is not more than 25% owned by a company which does not comply with both these limits and those on employee numbers
- Has not received any L&M funding from Business Link since April 2006
- Falls within the De Minimis limits for State Aid - Note 1 refers.
Eligibility: Learner
- A £500 unmatched grant is only available to the “top team” - Owner/CEO/ Chair/Business Leader/SMT member
- An additional £500 matched grant may be deployed on the development of the top team and/or other senior/middle managers
- If only the first £500 unmatched grant is taken up, the second matched grant can be accessed within 90 days of the pdp being signed
- Learner must have been resident within the EU for the previous 3 years.
Eligibility: Learning Activity
- Confirmed by a Personal Development Plan (PDP) agreed by the Train to Gain Service
- Minimum learning activity per learner(s): 6 hours
- Must commence within 90 days of the PDP date
Limitations: Learning Activity
- Not a statutory requirement or related to Health & Safety issues
- Not any functional (job specific) skills development activity eg IT
- Not any costs associated with corporate accredited status, eg ISO, Environmental/ Sustainability/ Investors in People accreditation
- Not any incidental costs of learning (travel, accommodation,)
- Not any learning already started or paid for
